Hello and welcome to our Charter of Good Intent

Introduction

There's a lot of great stuff that's happening in the digital universe but there's some not so good too. The way your personal (and anonymized) data is collected and used often falls on the not so good side of things.

We've got some strong opinions about this, which is why we created Imagini in the first place. The purpose of this Charter of Good Intent is to give you a clear understanding of exactly that - our good intentions. It's by no means a perfect document and will be updated on a regular basis, but we hope that you will find it informative and useful.

The purpose of VisualDNA

VisualDNA is an exciting new technology that enables you to find relevant content more easily. We use fun image-based quizzes to understand what you like.

The purpose of VisualDNA is to make your life easier. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with the keys to unlock a relevant digital experience, whether through your computer or mobile device. For instance, in the future, when you search for things online with words, we plan for you to be able to automatically use your VisualDNA as an additional filter to find things that you are more likely to like.

Putting you in control of your data

We have a transparent policy for the data we store which is set out in our Privacy Policy. As a user, you are able at any time to come and take control of your data. We provide an extensive range of settings for you to personalize your VisualDNA, including the ability to delete all your data. It's up to you how you use your VisualDNA and we'll be adding lots of new personalization features over the coming weeks and months.

Providing you with relevance

There's a real need for digital experiences to be more relevant and we know that VisualDNA is a great way of helping to make this happen. So, we're working hard to create something really amazing with our technology.

All of us at Imagini are totally committed to delivering the maximum benefit to you and to put you in control of your VisualDNA. We've got lots of plans for what we want to do and are doing our best to get as much launched for you as we can, but like any team, we have a limit to our resources so we'd ask you to recognize that it won't all come at once.

Making money

We've spent over three years developing VIsualDNA to where it is today and some serious cash has gone into discovering how to make it all work. We do hope to make money from what we do, but our plans are to do this by 'doing the right thing' by you. Our view is that most of you will be comfortable in us being rewarded for providing you with good and useful services. We see it as a virtuous circle that starts with you and your needs and ends with you and your needs. In the middle there will hopefully be relationships with various partners who would like their products and services to be seen by people who will find them interesting and relevant.

Our commitment to you is that we will always abide by the settings that you choose to create at my.visualdna.com. We know that any deviation from this commitment would be counter-productive to everybody.

The commercial applications of our activity as a positive and important by-product of what we do. They are not, by any means, our sole purpose.

Our Service for you

Here's what our services intend to enable you to do:

  1. i. Discover your VisualDNA
  2. ii. Receive personalized written feedback based on your results
  3. iii. Get recommendations that are suited to your particular needs and wants
  4. iv. Meet other like-minded people
  5. v. Transport your VisualDNA with you across your digital experience

Summary

We hope you've found this useful in some way. We recognize that there will be some of you that do and some that don't. Indeed, there may be some of you that have a very cynical view of all this. All we'd ask is that you judge us by what you see us do over the course of the next year. We really are genuinely trying to do something that will be really valuable to you, our users. We hope our openness will provide a meaningful benchmark as well.
